fun pictures.

Yesterday - @cowtippinjosh brought his Macbook Pro to NewCov. He was showing me some of the cool stuff on it. We had some fun times taking pictures with it too. I love the cool effects you can do with the build it camera. So much fun! Good Laughs!

Here's some of the funny pictures we took.

(I know this is old news for all you Mac users. But this was my first time on one.) I like me some MacBook Pro!

Father's day at Buckhead.

Church again this evening at Buckhead Church. We both enjoyed our second Father's Day church service very much. The way Jeff Henderson closed the service was really neat. He offered us all an opportunity to give a Father's Day present to Our Heavenly Father. Jill and I both were moved to do it. Also...I cried again.

This has been a good Father's day for me. It would be one million times better if my boys were here with me! It's okay though, the whole family is gonna celebrate next weekend.

the varsity.

After Church today, we ate lunch at "The Varsity" diner at the Alpharetta location. Jill had the #2 Bacon Burger with Onion Rings Combo and got the #6 Slaw Dogs with French Fries Combo. This is a good diner to eat at. We definitely will be coming back more and more!!!

I give The Varsity a BIG thumbs-up!

(Wishing they had a In-N-Out here in Georgia too!)

Father's day at North Point.

Church this morning at North Point Community Church. We both enjoyed this Father's Day service very much. The Closer made both of us cry.

They handed out these little cards at the door as you left the auditorium. What a good idea. I put mine in my wallet.

ReEstroom! Two E's!

Today, I laughed pretty good about this photo. I saw this sign posted up inside of a Georgia Burger King / AMPM Store. I know I'm not the best speller in the world, but come on people! Really?!?!

Why not make another sign?

Well...I guess just kind-of scratching out the extra E will work too!

waffle house.

Had Breakfast this morning, with my beautiful wife, at the The Waffle House in Alpharetta, Georgia. This was Jillian's first time eating here and the first time in a long time for me. I liked sitting at the bar area, because you can watch them make the food. Plus it's fun to listen to them call out the orders. This was cool. Looking forward to bring my boys to a waffle house soon!

We both order the all-star breakfast. It's a little bit of everything. We got eggs, bacon, toast, of-course waffles, and grits! (She got hash browns instead.) I love Grits. The last time I had grits I was like 10 years old. Had them at my Grandmothers house in Cottondale, Alabama. I used to visit my dad every summer for like 4-6 weeks. I loved that.

new rental house.

Photos of our new rental house in Cumming, Georgia.

***SORRY! Photos no longer available!***

I'm not really excited that it's a Townhouse, but by far this is the best deal for us right now. This place will work out good. Well...I mean great! All the furniture and whatnot pictured in the home is the owners stuff. Jill and I wish all the stuff could just stay in the house. We love the way it is decorated. The owners are really nice people too. I like that we are working with the owners and not with a rental management company. I feel a lot more comfortable going this way.

Plus we have a guest bedroom! Who's gonna come visit?

word count.

You know...Sometimes you just have to make fun of yourself. Just laugh at yourself and say, "That's me." So that's what I'm doing. Right now. I watched "The HUGE Parker Family Announcement" video again this evening and counted how many times I said certain things.

Here's the word count:

Umm - 36
New Covenant - 13
Ministry - 9
Excited - 6
God - 4
The Parker's - 4
Prayer & Support - 4
Fresno - 4
Atlanta - 3
North Point - 3
Love on them with - 1
Zero year old - 1
The lives of me - 1

I need to work on stopping the umm's. (Again, a script would have helped.) I liked the last three lines the best. What do they mean? Glad I only said them once a piece.

movie quote.

Watched the movie, Astronaut Farmer, on my iPOD about two weeks ago. Starting watching it way to late one night. Fell asleep and then woke up to the rocket blasting off. Had to just start it all over again the next night. It was a pretty good movie. I liked it. But one quote towards the end of the movie got me thinking a lot. It has been stuck in my head for a while now.

Here's the line from the movie. It's Tommy Lee Jones' character, Charles Farmer, talking to his wife, Audrey Farmer, Virgina Madsen's character.

"Audie. I love you and those kids more than anything in this world. But if I don't do what I believe in...Then I haven't done them any good at all." - Charles Farmer

Let's all continue (or start) doing what we believe in.

another trip to atlanta.

This morning, Jill and I headed back out to Atlanta, GA. We will be looking for a house to live in and finding some Doctors for her and the boys. We will be here until late Monday night. Hopefully everything will go alright. Jill has a full schedule of events and appointments for us.

Her Dad gave us a ride to the airport. He got a speeding ticket along the way there. We felt really bad, because we were in kind of a hurry. So he picked up the pace a little. Sorry Pops!

It was a long day today. The plane from Phoenix to Atlanta had a Radar Control Panel thing go bad. So that took about a half-hour to get it fixed. It was strange to hear a hacksaw like sound coming from underneath my seat while they changed the part out. The rental car place was a little different than we are use too. You can just go and pick out a car and the keys are in it. Jill and I thought that was weird, but cool. And the hotel was having AC problems in their rooms. But no complains here. We are here safely. We are in our cool room. Thank you Lord! Don't think my wife and I can sleep without it this trip. The weather here is a lot different than Fresno. It's muggy and has a wet feeling. Plus the sky flashes brightly all the time! It's gonna take some time to get use to it.

I didn't do much videos taking or picture taking of this trip. These are the only two pictures I took and the only video I made. Sorry everyone. Maybe I'll do some more this week. Enjoy!

Big Announcement!

Alright. I'm sure some of my tweets have been on the edge of their seats for this! Well. Here it is.

The
HUGE Parker family announcement.

I decided to film myself instead of type it all out. It was a lot easier for me this way. After watching it a few times while editing and uploading it, I think I should probably have done a redo or re-shoot! Definitely needed a script. But...Oh Well. It's all good. It's all me baby! (Count how many times I say New Covenant. WOW!!)

look at me.

Thinking about updating my user photos to this picture. It's a lot more up close and personal. What do you think? Should I go with it?

went to the park.

We went to the park today. Got to swing on the swings and slide on the slides! McKay and Bryce love to go play at the park. The weather was nice too!

(RSS readers: Check out some pictures and videos!)

BRYCE - Sliding down the slide

MCKAY - Sliding down the slide

After playing at the park, we headed over to nana & papa's house. As we were getting out of the car, we saw a mommy duck and nine little baby ducks walking up the driveway! QUACK! QUACK! Later in the evening they came back to take a swim in the pool. So weird to see ducks just walking around the neighborhood.

mens softball league. wk5

Got back into it after a week off.

This game was pretty boring. Not much going on. Very low scoring for softball. One of the highlights for me was hearing my son, McKay, yelling "Look...That's my daddy!" "Go Daddy!"

We also went to yogurt afterwards with our new friends, Chris & Katie Miller. Their son, Jeremiah, is two and half. McKay and him are pretty good buddies.

WEEK FIVE. Game at 600pm.

NewCovenant (4w-1L) beats Campus Bible by the score of 5-1.

OFFENSE:
We didn't really get to much going tonight. Scored just enough to win.

It was pretty windy.

I went 2-3. Had a lazy ground out to third. Two base hits into left field.

No RBI's.

Got thrown out at third with no outs in the fifth with only a three run lead. Dumb! Need to pay better attention to the base coaches. Thought I heard him say, "Come on!" The guys said that was the other team. Had a ugly slide into the bag too.

DEFENSE:
I just got ate up at third tonight. Two costly errors. They scored a run on me. Jamin got me out of a few jams with double play balls.

Did have two put outs. One was a caught line drive (hand still kind-of stings) and the other was a grounder with a throw to first.
