raiders_draft.

Well... Did you watch the NFL Draft? I did. I wish I could have been there in NY at the radio city music hall. It looks like a lot of fun. All the fans in there go crazy after very selection. Off-season road trip, let's party baby!

I'm pretty happy with the Raiders #1 pick, in J.Russell. He's gonna be great. Hopefully he can step right in and produce. I was kind-of wanting (QB) B.Quinn to be our #1 pick, but he went #22 to Cleveland. He might not be so hot anymore. Not sure if Russell is a good fit for the Raiders. (I'm still wanting (QB) Rich Gannon to be playing. Or a QB like him.) David Carr would have been a good pick-up.
The Raiders did make some trades with New England, to un-load (WR) Randy Moss, and with Detirot to get (WR) Mike Willams and (QB) Josh McCown. Not sure who should start at QB next season? Maybe J.Russell should sit a year and let McCown start? Andrew Walter better not start, he not ready. We'll have to see how Training Camp goes. It's now on baby! Let's Go! Tee it up!

I'll be posting more and more as the season approaches. Plus... look forward to my weekly monday morning game analysis.

PAT IS REALLY COOL!
I LIKE HIM!
-
Pat helped us with the DVD recording and Dupilcation on the FFA gig. It was nice having him there for the week. He did a great job.
-
I did, however, had to hold him back several times from running on stage with his guitar to sing Billy idol's "White Wedding"! I should have wrote PAT IS A ROCKSTAR! YEAH COOL!

Check out WYSIWYG! HERE. This is a great tool for small or large scale productions. You can even hook up your lighting console to the computer and program your show from your desk! NICE!

first sunday.

Finally! NewCov! We had our first sunday morning services in the new building. WOW! The place was packed and there was so much energy in the room. Everyone was singing loud and proud and there was nothing but smiles on everyone faces.

I think the "sanctuary" or "worship center" is really going to work out well for us. The stage is pretty big and we have a good foundation of conventional fixtures in place. I got the opportunity to basically design the theatrical lighting package. I hung, focused and geled every light my self. It turned out well.... for now. I'm looking forward to expanding and tweaking the lighting system in the future. (Like in next two weeks for palm and easter sunday!) We do have room to grow, since we did get a HOG iPC lighting console. If only we had some movers....

I took these pictures from the lighting booth during first service. You can check out some more photos from the "mock" service last sunday on my buddy Pat's blog HERE.

Micheal Bolton was the main headliner for the last evening. This was a very fun night. The Lighting Designer for Bolton let me have fill range to do whatever I wanted to do during the show. He loved my looks from the previous gigs in the week. So we went with that. I did give him control of color mixing for wash fixtures. That way he could "steer the stage" and I controlled everything else. I wish all LD's were like him. He let me be creative and that added a lot to the show. There was a few times when I got a little button happy, but it was by far my best looking show I have ever done.
