stayin' classy.
I'm still in San Diego for the ASIS security trade-show with PELCO.
The show opens tomorrow and runs though Wednesday night. I can't post pictures of the Load-in or the Gig until I get home, because my old laptop won't recognize Eric's camera. Maybe I can find the drivers are whatever online. He has a "cute and little" Sony Cybershot. I carry it around my neck with a lanyard. I have gotten several comments about it. Anyways.... more to come on this gig later.
Until next time......
I'm Randy Parker... remember to...stay classy Fresno.

FSU bulldogs wk2&3.
Lost to Oregon 31-24.
Lost to Washington 21-20.
Special Teams? There is nothing Special about our special teams! Both of these losses were do to poor special teams play.
Why do we play to the level of our competition? We are a good team. We can hang with any college team in the country. But when we play weaker teams, we play like a weaker team. We let "no namers" have career games againist us.
GO BULLDOGS! WIN THE WAC!! BEAT BOISE!!!
Wk4: BYE WEEK!
Next week: Saturday, September 31st @ 200pm
FRESNO STATE (1-2) (1-0 WAC) Vs. Colorado State (2-1) (1-0 MW)
The Rams lost to Nevada last week by 18. The Bulldogs beat Nevada by 9 in week one. The Rams beat Colorado with a good second half defense. This might be a tough one to win for the Bulldogs. Good thing its at home. RedWave baby!

OAK wk2.
I hate the Ravens!
Remember the 2000 AFC Championship game when Tony "fatman" Siragusa just jacked Rich Gannon? And Ray Lewis, with his stupid dance? Ever since then, I have not liked them at all. So... this loss sucks much more.
OakTown lost 26-6 on sunday. Only two Janikowski FGs. Aaron Brooks got hurt. He will be out for 2-4 weeks. This will be a good thing. Andrew Walter can be our new leader, if the Offensive line can give him some time to throw the ball. Maybe they should run the ball with Lamont more or do some quick slants to Moss?!?! I didn't watch the game cause it was a early one. I have it tivo-ed, but I don't think I can watch it now.
We stink! We are last or next to last in all NFL stats. We have no TDs.
RAIDERS!!! JUST WIN BABY!!!
Wk3: BYE WEEK!
next week: sunday, october 1st @ 115pm
The Raiders (0-2) (0-1 AFC West) Vs. The Browns (0-3) (0-2 AFC North)
The Browns lost to the Ravens today by a FG. Their Offense looked good againist the Ravens defense. The Raiders Offense looked terrible againist the Ravens defense. It doesn't look good. Oakland is coming off a bye-week. Hopefully they can adjust and produce so points this week and play better defense.

hey blondie.
The other night I got to run the Lighting board for the band, BLONDIE at the Table Mountain Casino.
(photo taken by RW)
Anyone remember this band? Did you listen to their music?
I only knew three of their songs during the concert.
1.) call me
2.) hearts of glass
3.) one way
Ryan was there with me. It was a long boring day. We didn't have much gear, so we didn't have much to do. It was a kinda cool day.

movie night part deux.
Tonight, My Church (NewCov) had a movie night again for the "Foundations Group", the young couples ministry. I was volunteered to set-up the screen and sound system for the event. Scott told me that he found a screen. Sweet! I didn't want to use the bed sheet from last time again. But the screen was old and the frame was broken. It was a no go.
So... Luckly I brought my bed sheet with me just-in-case. It still had the tie-line on it ready to go. I wrapped the sheet around the gazebo in the middle of the yard to form the "BIG" screen. It turned out okay. We watched the film, "Eight Below." And that was pretty darn close to how cold it felt tonight. I was freezing in shorts and a tee-shirt. Is winter here already?
(photos taken by WRP)
Of Course, I would love to take this whole event up a few notches. Like try using a real big screen and a good surround sound system. Maybe next summer it's a big church wide movie night?!?!?! More to come about that......

I beleive I'm ready to start to post videos on my blog. A lot of you do already. How do you do it? What do you use? Do you post home made vidoes, (like ragamuffinsoul?) or do you post others videos and home made videos as well? (like two blonde boys?)
Please let me know!

happy with nextel.
Yesturday I went to the local NEXTEL service dealer with my phone and my wifes cell phone. My phone's antenna was broken and her phone was frozen up. We have the insurance plan, so we were't worried about the getting this taken care of. But I think everyone has had a little bit of nervousness about getting their cell phones replaced for free. Well... to make a long story short... She got a new phone and they replaced my antenna for free without any hassel. I was in-n-out in 30minutes.
I love NEXTEL! I love the DC - Walkie Talkie!
I hate Cingular service!
What service do you have? Do you have problems?

smaller gig.
Today "E" (eric) and I worked the annual Fresno Women's Conference downtown in the new exhibit hall. It was a pretty easy day. Just a few lights and a couple of truss systems. Good fun.

OAK wk1.
My team, Thee Oakland Raiders, looked very bad tonight. I'm very disappointed in the outcome of this game. We played really bad. We looked really bad. I'm really worried about being the worstest in the league this year. (Like the 49ers of last year.)
Our Friends, James and Brittany, and their son Noah, came over for Pizza and Beer to watch the game tonight. The company was great, but the game was terrible.
No running game. No passing game. No special teams. We stunk tonight.

FSU bulldogs wk1.
They won! They beat Nevada! YES! GO BULLDOGS! Win the WAC!
It wasn't pretty, but it's a "W" in the win column. Dwayne Wright (RB) is back and better than ever. Tommy Brandstater (QB) did well for his first start. The Defense was okay.
Read the Gobulldogs.com article HERE.
They just need to play to their level of football, and not to the level of the competion. We always play well and rise-up againist the tougher teams, but play weak againist the WAC teams.
next week: Saturday @ 700pm, September 9th
FRESNO STATE (1-0) (1-0 WAC) Vs. 21 Oregon Ducks (1-0) (1-0 PAC-10)
The Ducks killed Stanford last week. Jonathan Stewart, thier (RB) got hurt. Hopefully he won't play againist us. If I remember correctly he did well againist us last year.

OAK pre-season wk5.
I didn't see the game.
I didn't even see any highlights.
I did read some articles from the game. It seemed boring.
Did you see it?
Maybe there should be less pre-season games. I think two games would be fine.
Check out the OAKLAND RAIDERS 2006-07 53-man roster HERE.
Week01: Monday, September 11th Vs. The Chargers.
