live sound?

We (Live Light) are doing only Sound this time instead of Lighting and Video for the StrikeForce event tonight. It 's been really wierd being on a gig like this and not doing any lighting or video. Especially since we have done lighting and video two other times for them. But it's cool. Showtime Sports is involved this time so they are doing most of the production. It's a lot bigger of a production now as well.

Mark and I have been learning a lot more about Sound from ("sound guys") Ryan and Alex. We think we like doing sound a lot more than lighting, it's really a lot easier than lighting. Just kidding all you audio freaks, audio is pretty complicated to get it right. Most arenas are huge cement and steel bowls that have big time reflections. I'm glad we have Meyer Speakers and all the really cool tools that goes with them. Whatever they are.

If your watching the fights online or on PPV tonight look for me sitting ringside, right next to the ring girls. My job as the audio tech is to monitor the wireless microphones in the ring. And to make sure the signal and battery levels are good. Also, if a ring girl happens to get sick or is unable to preform, I might just have to jump in the ring with the round number card. I'm ready! Audio is cool!
