CMA_2007.

The Christian Music Awards 2007 @ SaveMart Center in Fresno on June 16th, hosted by United One Productions. This gig was more of a Church service rather than an awards show. Everyone was up on there feet praisin' Jesus though music. It was a joy for me just to be there.

I was handed this rendered drawing of the set they were looking to have for the show and was asked to make it "cool" like the picture. It only took 60 moving lights and four projector to pull it off. I think it looked great. All the set peices were made of white spandex so all the color and texture was from the moving lights or Catalyst.

live sound?

We (Live Light) are doing only Sound this time instead of Lighting and Video for the StrikeForce event tonight. It 's been really wierd being on a gig like this and not doing any lighting or video. Especially since we have done lighting and video two other times for them. But it's cool. Showtime Sports is involved this time so they are doing most of the production. It's a lot bigger of a production now as well.

Mark and I have been learning a lot more about Sound from ("sound guys") Ryan and Alex. We think we like doing sound a lot more than lighting, it's really a lot easier than lighting. Just kidding all you audio freaks, audio is pretty complicated to get it right. Most arenas are huge cement and steel bowls that have big time reflections. I'm glad we have Meyer Speakers and all the really cool tools that goes with them. Whatever they are.

If your watching the fights online or on PPV tonight look for me sitting ringside, right next to the ring girls. My job as the audio tech is to monitor the wireless microphones in the ring. And to make sure the signal and battery levels are good. Also, if a ring girl happens to get sick or is unable to preform, I might just have to jump in the ring with the round number card. I'm ready! Audio is cool!

I got a iPOD for Father's day, from my wife and two boys, this year. I've been wanting one for years. I love it.!It's so cool! I just got it charged and sync' it to my computer. And I just had to try out the video, so I purchased a episode of Scrubs. Now I'm thinking about buying a game or two.

SWEET! Thanks Jill, McKay, and Bryce.

"Baseball is 90% mental. The other half is physical."

"If you come to a fork in the road, take it."

Hey Yogi, what time is it?"You mean now?"

"Eighty percent of putts that fall short don't go in."

"It ain't over 'til its over."

"Think! How the hell are you gonna think and hit at the same time?"

"You give a hundred percent in the first half of the game, and if that isn't enough,in the second half you give what's left."
