mr. mom.

Today I am............. MR. MOM!

Remember the movie?
If you haven't seen it, GO RENT this weekend.
If you have seen it, who can forget Michael Keaton firing up a chain saw as he greets his wifes boss at the front door. My favorite two lines of the movie that I quote often follow this sceen, "120 / 121 whatever it takes," and "What a beer? Scotch?"

My son is now amost five months old. The major milestone for him right now is teeth. He's got a little one coming on his bottom gums. He drools so, so, so much. And I swear, that he can put his whole hand in his month if he wanted to. He puts anything in his month to ease the pain.

Mr. Mom today...... Mr. Dad tomorrow.

spam.

It wasn't more than two minutes after, that I got a spam comment from my last posting.

Spam really stinks. At my work, I get more than 100 spam e-mails a day. When I was working at my church, I would get even more spam e-mails a day, I would get like 200 a day. But the thing that really gets me thinking, is that some people must respond to this stuff. You would think that if nobody would respond, then no more. Right? What can be done to solve this?

Down with SPAM!

got pumpkins?

WOW!

And I thought I was a pretty good pumpkin carver. Well.... I have had my claim to fame in my younger years. When I was a kid I really didn't like halloween, but I loved to carve pumpkins. But this guy at pumpkingutter.com takes the cake, I mean takes the pumpkin. Check him out here.

I'm doing nothing.

There is nothing that can compare to the feeling of, "I've got nothing to do"! (Well... maybe there are a few better feelings...... but anyways.) Don't get me wrong, there is always something that you can be doing, but sometimes doing nothing is a whole lot nicer than doing something. Normally if you anit got nothin' to do, it's cause you got all your junk taken care of.

Do you agree?

still here.

I'm still here.

Just haven't blogged. It's not that I don't want to, its more of a what do I write about kind of thing. If you knew me you would know that I'm more of a sporty, get dirty working on my truck, get-r-done kind of guy. So this computer blogging and writing my thoughts thing is really tough for me. What I need to do is to start a routine of making MY BLOG a regular part of my day.

More to come.... I really mean it this time.

time flys by.

Remember this saying, "Time flys when your having fun?"

It seems like yesturday that my wife told me that "we" were pregnant. And today, my son, McKay Lawrence turns three months old. This time of our lives hasn't been all fun and games, but it has been great. Jill and I were ready for the birth day, but not completely ready for the baby. We took child birthing classes and read books like, what to expect when your expecting, and baby wise, but nothing prepared us for the him. The last three months have been awesome. Being a daddy has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love coming home to my family and hearing the days stories, from my wife and my son. Already McKay has started to "talk," roll over, grab toys, and the best thing yet is that he sleeps thru the night. I can't wait to see more and more milestones that are to take place in his life.

changing it up.

"The whole service was powerful and came together in a wonderful way."

My Church always has good sunday services, but this past sunday was a great service. All aspects of the service were great. Everyone added a little something to create a service that was glorifing to God. As a volunteer now, I rented some lights, and hung some white stretchy material cut into triangles of different sizes. I down/back lite the shapes to create beautiful scenes of color.

My goal is to change the, "changing it up," idea into something we do every sunday on a regular basis.

computer language.

This blog stuff is a lot harder than I thought it would be. The temeplate changes are pretty in depth. No mouse pointing, double clicking, and done going on here in the blog world. Unless you want to stick with the plan jane templates they have. And to top it all off, I still have trouble thinking of what to write about. I guess everything is good to write about. Well... maybe not everything. I'm sure I'll get the hang of this. It might take some time, but I'll be there soon.

well...

I'm here! I'm in the blogshere! Since Februrary, I've been wanting to start my own blog. And I finally got enough motivation to get going and join the rest of the world. I figured, if my wife can start a blog, I better start one too. (Check out her blog here.)

More to come. I promise.
